It's this hybrid approach that initially caught my attention - I was curious if it could deliver the best of both worlds.

I'll admit, I approached Veed with some skepticism (is any platform really as good as its marketing claims?). But after putting it through its paces, I've developed some strong opinions about where it shines and where it falls short. Whether you're just starting out or have been editing for years, there's something refreshing about a platform that doesn't make you feel lost. I particularly appreciated how I could gradually explore more advanced features at my own pace.

From a business perspective, Veed offers practical solutions. The team management features aren't just an afterthought - they're genuinely useful for collaborative projects.

What stood out to me was the balance between security and usability. Many platforms excel at one but sacrifice the other. The branding kits feature saved me considerable time maintaining visual consistency across multiple videos - a small but significant detail when you're producing content regularly.

As someone who creates video content, I found Veed's toolset surprisingly comprehensive. The intro/outro makers alone eliminated hours of repetitive work from my process.

I found a Veed.io score on G2 of 4.6/5 from 932 reviews. This excellent number tells how comfortable users are with this software.

The help center button on the left side of the dashboard offers support and tutorials. This is beneficial because it allows you to access assistance directly within the platform without needing to visit an external help page.

A window shows tutorial videos for beginners and advanced users. If you can´t find your answer, there is the option to access a helpdesk webpage (a knowledge base) or start a support chat.

There is currently no method to open a support ticket. Furthermore, onboarding and training are available exclusively on Enterprise Plans.

Integrations

Currently, there are no integrations in Veed, a missing feature that many competitors offer.

Veed offers four pricing plans, from Free to Enterprise. Each one caters to different users with different needs.

• Lite Plan: $9/month/user with 1080p export resolution, up to 144 hours per year of auto subtitles, unlimited audio and video assets, limited AI tools, and chat support.
• Pro Plan: $24/month per user, including everything in Lite, plus all AI tools, 4 K exporters, translation into up to 50 languages, six editors, AI avatars, and a complete branding kit.
• Enterprise Plan: Tailored options to fit your needs; you must contact sales for a quotation.

Since the Free and Lite plans are limited, the Pro Plan, which costs $24 per user per month, is the best option for accessing decent functionality.

Subtitles and translations have monthly limits that depend on the plan. Knowing in advance how many minutes you will need each month can be challenging, so you may need to upgrade at any time.

Depending on your budget, some competitors offer attractive options. If you only need to make professional-looking videos with AI avatars, HeyGen provides a free plan to make three monthly videos. And if you are keen to spend $24 a month, you can make unlimited (yes, unlimited) videos per month.

FlexClip is another interesting option. This tool has tons of video and AI resources but no human avatars, and for $11.99 per month, you get superb functionality for making and editing videos.

How to Make a Video With Veed.io

There are three different options for creating videos within this platform:

1-Using human avatars: Veed provides a library of stock avatars for creating videos. While this option is not as robust as dedicated platforms like Synthesia or Elai.io, it still offers solid functionality.

2-From text input: This option allows you to make a video from a text prompt, and the AI handles the creation process.

3-Using templates: There are 26+ pre-made templates you can customize according to your needs.

How to Make a Video With an AI Human Avatar

Using Veed to create a video with an AI human avatar is quick and easy.

Once I log in, the main dashboard appears.

It is kind of cluttered, but it is only a matter of practice. First, I must select a background color and aspect ratio. Then, I have to go for an avatar.

There are 66+ diverse avatars, although some represent the same person with different outfits. And they even have an avatar on a wheelchair!

Now, I set the language and the script. For example, if I want to make a promotional video for a travel agency, I would type in the script and click the 'Generate video' button.

Notice that the button has an orange sign, which means this feature is only available on higher plans, and I can only try it once.

Veed offers a wide range of royalty-free assets. Many stock videos are classified by animals, nature, people, etc. Their music and sounds effect collection is great and well organized

Since I want to make a promotional video about a travel agency, I will look for for a related background video. However, the Free Plan has very limited assets, and you may have to upload your own media to create your video with this plan.

I need to add a title or video, so I click the left text button. The text can be adjusted in size, color, and many other ways. There are also plenty of styles, animations, and adjustments that can be made here.

It is easy to add many elements to the video, including mockups, logos, icons, shapes, and GIFs. Surprisingly, there are no images available.

Veed editor works on a timeline like traditional video editors. From there, you can select aspect ratios from various preset options for many formats, such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and many more.

This is a time-saver because you don’t have to look for (or remember) the proper aspect ratio for your video.

After some minor adjustments, I can render the video, check how it looks

The avatar looks very natural, and the lip-syncing is good, too. The creative side has room for improvement, but notice that you can make a professional-looking video in just minutes.

How to Create an AI video With Veed.io From Text Input

This feature works seamlessly on autopilot. You tell the AI what kind of video you want to create (social media, business, or other) and describe your topic, and the AI handles the rest.

Let´s try how it works and ask the AI for a social media video about the "Viral TikTok videos."

In the next screen, I chose an avatar, size, and subtitle style.

Now click on "Continue" on the upper right.

The AI generated a script I can fine-tune or modify. In this screen, I also must set the tone of voice and target audience. Veed’s AI only generates one version of the script, while similar tools often show three different options.

When I click "Next," the system begins creating the video. One minute later, the video is ready and appears on the editor dashboard, where I can edit or render it until I decide it is ok.

Once it is rendered, I can download it in MP4, GIF, or MP3 format.

Check how it looks

The final quality is good, and the avatar looks natural and fresh with acceptable lip-syncing.

As with everything created using AI, it is not perfect and can be edited later. However, the AI did an excellent job adding pictures, sounds, and transitions.

How to Make a Video Using Templates

Veed offers 26+ pre-made templates with stock avatars. This is a useful feature to save time because you don´t have to start from scratch.

Anyway, a paid plan is required to save or create a custom template.

Let's see how this works in Veed. I chose a template and can play around with the avatar's position, but there is no option to change its view to a circular view, a standard feature you can find in almost every platform that has human avatars.

Once the video is ready, I can download it, embed it, share it on social media, or send it by mail.

The avatar looks very well, and it is difficult to tell if it is human or AI-generated. The audio quality is excellent, and the lip-syncing is also very accurate.

Of course, this video can be edited and improved; however, the goal is to test the platform and assess its performance.
